FAQ

About the review

What is the free freight savings review?

After a short intro call, you send us 12 months of freight invoices and your current rate files. Within 14 days of complete data we deliver a written review of your highest-priority savings opportunities, ranked by size and effort.

What do we need to send?

12 months of freight invoices and your current carrier rate files and contracts. If you have retailer or distributor deduction reports, send those too.

How long does it take?

14 days from when we have complete data.

Is our data kept confidential?

Yes. We use your data only for your review and sign an NDA where appropriate.

What if we don't have 12 months of invoices?

Send what you have. We'll tell you whether it's enough for a useful review.

FAQ

Fees and savings

How much does it cost?

The 14-day freight savings review is free. There's no upfront fee. If you go ahead, we're paid only from savings verified on your invoices. Recovered deductions are tracked and reported as their own category of verified savings.

How do you measure savings?

Against a baseline your finance team approves, built from your own invoices. Every month we check paid invoices against the baseline and report realized savings. Each saving is counted once, under one lever.

Do you guarantee savings?

No. Every shipper is different. The free review shows your own opportunities, sized from your invoices, before you decide anything.

Are freight savings and recovered deductions combined?

No. Freight cost savings and recovered deductions are tracked and reported as two separate categories of verified savings.

FAQ

Carriers and control

Are you a freight broker?

No. Maximizer Team is an independent freight savings advisor. We don't haul freight, sell capacity or take carrier commissions, so our advice isn't tied to any carrier.

Do we have to change carriers or our 3PL?

No. You can keep your current carriers and 3PL. Often the best result comes from renegotiating with the partners you already use.

Who approves changes?

You do. You approve every recommendation and every carrier contact before anything changes.

What's the difference between a freight audit and freight cost optimization?

A freight audit checks invoices for billing errors after you've shipped. Freight cost optimization lowers what you pay before you ship: rates, modes, loads, routes and fees. We do both, and the audit is how we verify the savings.

FAQ

Who we work with

Who do you work with?

US shippers spending $1M or more a year on freight, most of them CPG and food and beverage brands. We work with CFOs, COOs and supply chain leaders.

Do you handle refrigerated freight?

Yes. We review reefer freight alongside dry van, LTL, intermodal and parcel.

Do you help with parcel and claims?

Yes. We review parcel costs, and we file loss and damage claims with carriers as part of our retailer deductions service.

Do you help with retailer deductions?

Yes. We help prevent retailer and distributor fines, dispute the ones you don't owe on your behalf and recover the money. Recovered deductions are reported as their own category of verified savings.
